Build with Flux

Guides for your own code on Flux: agents, chatbots, batch work, streaming, tools, structured outputs, vision, long inputs and retries, plus recipes that combine abilities.

These guides are for code you write yourself. Flux speaks the OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, so you point your existing SDK at Flux, use your Flux key and set the model to flux-auto or a pinned model. Everything else in your code stays the same.

If you have not made a call yet, start with Get your key. If you want to connect an existing agent or editor instead, see Connect your agent.

Recipes with abilities

These put Flux abilities together into a whole job, each with the prompt for your agent and the code for your own app.

  1. Talk to your agent: speech in, speech out: transcribe, answer with flux-auto, then speak the answer.
  2. Research with sources: search the web, read the best pages, and answer with citations.
  3. Generate, then refine an image: make an image under a price cap, then edit it.
  4. Chain apps: from an email to an issue to a message: run one job across Gmail, Linear and Slack, without duplicates.
  5. Meeting notes to Slack: transcribe a recording, summarise it, and post the notes.
