Point JetBrains AI Assistant at FluxRouter with a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
JetBrains AI Assistant can use FluxRouter as a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Configure it once and every JetBrains IDE signed into the same account routes through your single Flux key.
For abilities as well as models, such as reading pages and making images, add the Flux tools server with the same key if your version of the tool supports remote MCP servers.
Manual config
In any JetBrains IDE (IntelliJ, PyCharm, WebStorm, and the rest), open AI Assistant settings and configure a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint, the OpenAIClientService endpoint:
Endpoint: https://api.fluxrouter.ai/v1
Model: flux-auto
API Key: sk-YOUR-FLUX-KEY
One config works across every JetBrains IDE signed into the same account, so you only set this up once.
Test it
Open the AI Assistant chat, pick your flux-auto model, and send a message. A reply confirms the endpoint is live. Your dashboard will show the request.
Notes
The endpoint is OpenAI-compatible, so AI Assistant talks to it the same way it talks to its built-in providers. Only the base URL, model, and key change.
