Cursor

Use FluxRouter as a custom OpenAI-compatible model in Cursor's chat panel.

Cursor can use FluxRouter as a custom OpenAI-compatible model by overriding its base URL. Read the limit below before you set this up.

One-click with Flux Desktop

Flux Desktop can help you set up Cursor. The manual steps below show what it configures.

Manual config

Open Settings, go to Models, and enable "Override OpenAI Base URL":

Base URL: https://api.fluxrouter.ai/v1
OpenAI API Key: sk-YOUR-FLUX-KEY

Add a custom model name such as flux-auto, then click Verify.

Important: chat panel only

Only Cursor's chat and plan panel (Cmd/Ctrl+L) uses the custom endpoint. Composer, agent mode, inline edit, apply, and tab autocomplete all stay on Cursor's own backend no matter what you configure here. Treat FluxRouter in Cursor as "chat only." If you want a fully routed agent inside an editor, use Cline or Roo Code instead.

Test it

Open the chat panel with Cmd/Ctrl+L, pick your flux-auto model, and send a message. A reply confirms the override is live. Your dashboard will show the request.
